The Biolan Greywater Filter 70 is a purifying unit for washing waters of one family, especially designed for weekend residences. Into the filter may be conducted washing waters and waters from sauna as well as dishwashing and laundry waters. The Biolan Greywater Filter 70 shall be installed above the ground. The wastewater is conducted directly into the filter either by gravity or by pumping. The filter’s treatment capacity is 500 litres per day, which in practice is sufficient for 1–5 persons.
The operation of the filter is based on the mechanical and biological filtration of wastewater. Organic filter material, to which the dirt in the wastewater sticks, is used in the filter. The micro-organisms living on the surface of the filter material use the impurities as their nutrition.
The Greywater Filter 70 comprises two purifier units, i.e. modules. The incoming wastewater is distributed between the modules by means of the branch sleeve located between the modules. Both modules have five filter boxes placed one on top of the other. The wastewater is conducted into the uppermost filter boxes. Inside the filter, the wastewater flows by gravitation from one filter layer to the other through the openings in the end of the box.

Biolan Greywater Filter Basic is a grey wastewater purifier especially designed for leisure homes and saunas. Small volumes of wastewater from washing and saunas can be conducted to the filter unit. Greywater Filter Basic is in-stalled above the ground. Wastewater is led directly to the filter unit either by gravity or by pumping. The treatment capacity of the filter unit is about 250 litres per day.

Biolan Greywater Filter Light is a non-insulated filter module for washing water. The wastewater is routed directly into the modules by gravitation or by pumping –no septic tanks required. The treatment capacity of one module is about 300 litres per day.
The operation of the Biolan Greywater Filter light is based on the mechanical and biological filtration of wastewater. Organic filter material, to which the dirt in the wastewater sticks, is used in the filter. The micro-organisms living on the surface of the material use the impurities in the water as their nutrition.
The module has five filter boxes placed one on top of the other. The wastewater is conducted into the uppermost filter box. Inside the filter, the wastewater flows nearly horizontally by gravitation from one filter layer to the other through the openings in the end of the box.
The cleaning capacity of the filter material in the module is good for about 100 days, after which it needs to be replaced in accordance with the maintenance instructions.
The filter module, or a treatment system made up from modules, is suitable for outdoor installation at locations used only in summer, such as a summer cottage, or a cottage at an allotment garden. These modules can also be used year-round, provided that they are located in a space where the temperature stays above zero at all times.
Wastewater from a WC or dry toilet in the property must be conducted into a closed tank or treated otherwise in a due manner. Rain- or stormwater or drainage water from foundations must not be fed into the filter.

The Biolan Greywater Filter 125 is to be placed above the ground. Place the filter in a location, where water will no gather, not even when there is flooding. The purifier can be installed out of doors without covering. The unit is thermally insulated, which means it can be used in slight frost. If the filter is used in winter, it must, however, be equipped with the Biolan Heating Cable, which is available as an option, or the filter must be placed in a space, where the temperature stays above zero.

Biolan Filter Material is a mixture of natural materials for use in Biolan´s greywater filters. The used filter material can be composted, or used for covering the roots of ornamental plants. The contents of the bag are enough to fill five filter boxes.
